OUR QUEST
The Okotoks Odyssey Theatre Company has a simple motto. Creating theatre, creating community, creating opportunity. We aim to create theatre for our local community to enjoy and for our volunteers to have fun making. We aim to create community, providing a third space for Okotokians and becoming a staple of the cultural life of the town. We aim to create opportunity, making space for actors and crew from all walks of life to get involved, especially for those who have never done theatre before! We also aim to help local businesses and non-profits by connecting them with actors and events for promotion and marketing.
OUR VOYAGE
Founded on the 5th November 2025, the Odyssey was created by theatre enthusiasts from Okotoks, Calgary, and across the Foothills. Our first Annual General Meeting had actors, writers and crew from a range of previous groups and projects, with different levels of experience, all united by a desire to make something new for audiences in Okotoks and across southern Alberta.
Building our way up from scratch, our very first show was a comedy skit for the Canada Day celebration put on by the Town. Moving on to fundraisers, character appearances and more, our first full production is set for a year after founding and we are excited to see where our voyage takes us. Climb aboard and join us!
